Umbrella and parasol exhibition made by textile shops @monova gallery
This year will be the third time for the textile shop Makita Shoten's umbrella and parasol exhibition.
Using the wonderful word ``Mottainai'' (mottainai) as a keyword, we wanted to create umbrellas that cherish the culture rooted in Japan's natural features, rather than just ``things'' that protect from rain, dew, and sunlight. I'm making things.
A new parasol with a vegetable motif, ``Na-sai-'',
We will exhibit umbrellas that can be used for both sun and rain, expressing the textile techniques cultivated since the Edo period in a single umbrella.
"An umbrella that's fun to hold"
"A nice-looking umbrella"
“Umbrellas that you will want to use carefully”
We will develop such an umbrella.
“Umbrella and parasol exhibition made by textile shops”
Period: June 11th (Thursday) to June 23rd (Tuesday), 2015
Time: 10:30-19:00 (closed on Wednesdays)
Location: monova gallery
Living Design Center OZONE 4th floor
